Seen him once at my 36 week appointment with mfm. Was very nice and explained everything in great detail. I didn’t have any concerns since my pregnancy had already been smooth. He even took time to call us after receiving a portal message instead of quickly emailing back. He is amazing. At 33 weeks we discovered our baby had a congenital heart defect and I needed to switch care providers right away. I was referred to Dr. Mehra and I am SO grateful for him and his team. It was a very emotional time for us and Dr. Mehra supported us every step of the way. As this was a high risk pregnancy, I had to deliver at Advocate Children’s Hospital Oak Lawn with a separate team for baby (he needed open heart surgery immediately after he was born). Dr. Mehra met me at both hospitals for my pre natal appointments and communicated with the team in Oak Lawn. He made me feel at ease. He was very respectful and both my husband and I felt seen and heard. Our baby is still in the hospital and healing. I just saw him for my post partum check up as well and he was so kind-he reminded us to take some time for ourselves during this challenging time. He also did my pap test and I must say that he is the most gentle of any doc or midwife I’ve ever experienced! His nurse Melissa is absolutely amazing-she held space for us, came to visit me and baby a few days into recovery and she was quick in responding to my emails with any questions I had for her or Dr. Mehra. I couldn’t have asked for a better doctor to bridge the gap between my initial birth plan and my high risk birth. I recommend him 10000000%!!!!! Thank you Dr. Mehra!

Dr. Suwan was amazing at explaining the risks of my fibroid and single artery umbilical cord. He explained the different risks in a very calming manner so we walked away with all the facts but not in a frantic state either. This being my first pregnancy and being high risk I truly appreciated that as the entire process can be quite anxious on top of finding any potential risks.
